My name is Sam and I'm a freelance
UX interaction designer, though I tend to focus on web, icon and interface design.
The tools we use shape our practices, and the practices we have shape our tools.
I believe in using free and open source software—software that is open to its users collaborating in its development—and I take a point of pride in having it comprise the majority of my design toolkit and workflow.
To do my part as a member of the free software community, I've been a design contributor to many free software projects over the years, but I found a home contributing to GNOME, as a member of the GNOME Foundation.
I have a great passion for cooking and the culinary arts, so I keep a food blog of sorts where I document my recipes and other adventures I have in the kitchen.
